The non-softened water usually caused scaling in boiler. Owing to the continuous evaporation effect, the Ca, Mg and other kinds of inpurities in water of boiler will get a higher and higher concentration. Compared with the natural water, the hardness of non-softened water in boiler woud be 30 to 50 times higher. The water scale has 3 harms to the boiler:
1. Reduce the heat absorbsion and the thermal effeciency of the boiler. The heat conductivity of water scale is only 0.5% of metal. It wastes the fuel and increases the boiler operation cost;
2. The fouling problem leads to the temperature raising of the wall of boiler. This situation damages the working stress of the steel, which shortens the lifespan of boiler and even causes boiler explosion.
3. The steams contains Ca and Mg ions, which will causes scaling or even block to the conponents of boiler, such as safe valves, pressure gauge, etc.
So the boiler feed water requires the softened water by RO water treatment system.
For the RO Boiler Feed Water Treatment System, it cut down the hardness of feed water by resin, and remove other impurities in water by RO techniques. Thus, the softened water not only increases the thermal efficiency of boiler, but also lengthen its service time.
