While it is operating, WSZ underground sewage treatment equipment depend on AO biological treatment technology to dispose organic pollutant and ammonia nitrogen.
Level A: Because of high concentrations of organic matter, microbes in the state of hypoxia decompose organic nitrogen in sewage to NH-N, meanwhile, turn NO-N.NO-N to N using organics as electron donor, and compound new cell material using part of organic carbon source and NH-N. So A pond can remove organics ,and redigest to remove nitrogen eutrophication pollution.
Level O: Organics concentrations turn lower, there are still a certain amount of organics and high concentrations of NH-N. Other microbes that needs oxygen can turn organics to CO2 and H2O, digestive bacteria can turn NH-N to NO-N.NO-N, finally remove nitrogen eutrophication pollution.
